There are many reasons’ why I joined the grass-fed party as policy adviser and blogger. I have been blogging about food and farming for 4 years now, but it was my upbringing on a farm that really gets me excited about Angus La Cense and the grass-fed party. As a farmer’s daughter, animals were always part of my world, and I was taught the importance of treating animals ethically. I also learned, first hand, how farming has become financially impossible for many farmers. To me, Grass-fed farming represents a new and exciting movement in American agriculture that provides us all with a solution. It is good for animals but it also provides farmers with an effective way to compete in a system that has been stacked against the family farmer.
More and more people are willing to support local farmer’s who are committed to farming in a way that is in harmony with animals, the planet and our health and that gets me excited!
This site was created as a platform for like-minded people, a social networking site if you will, for those of us who are drawn to sustainable agriculture. It is a place to connect, learn and talk about grass-fed farming. So please join the conversation! I would like to see more grass-fed farmers!
Some fun things about the site:
You can set up your own profile! Here is my profile! Please ask me to be my friend, and tell me why you are here!
There is also a forum where you can talk about grass-fed issues.
You can start your own blog too and browse member profiles!
